Recent innovations
2017, after collision damage, the bow was filled and subsequently the skin plating on the SB front was repaired at Caron in Zelzate; the electrical installation in the bow thruster room was completely renewed by Scheepselectro De Backer nv; the engines in the bow have undergone maintenance; 8 BK/23.258 JULIEN 2018 at Scheepswerf Boer in Sliedrecht, the propeller shaft was pulled, new bushes installed and honed and the grease lubrication system was renewed and a new De Waal shaft seal was installed; also aligned the main engine installation; 2019 the bow thruster shaft was renewed by Verhaar; 2020 thorough renovation of various internal parts of the main engine carried out by Reicon and, among other things, the turbo blower overhauled; 2021 the bow thruster shaft was again renewed by Verhaar; 2022 the ship was inspected in Duisburg at the Ruhrorther Schiffswerft in connection with the renewal of the Certificate of Inspection; including new stainless steel tunnel band applied to the bow thruster; in December the steering gear was overhauled at Scheepswerf Boer in Sliedrecht with new hydraulic cylinders and new bearings and bushings; both rudders also renewed; both JCB generator sets newly installed; In 2023 the steel floor was renewed at Scheepswerf Hoogerwaard in Rotterdam. The bow thruster engine is currently being completely overhauled by Teus Vlot Diesel Marine in Sliedrecht.
